Frequently asked questions
Will I need chemotherapy before surgery?
It depends on the tumour type and stage. In some cases chemotherapy is given first to shrink the tumour.
Can the breast be preserved?
In many cases yes, depending on tumour size and position. This is explained in detail once tests are complete.
When is the pathology result ready?
Usually within one to two weeks, and the result is discussed at the follow-up visit.
